Some people asked why I wanted to
establish a non-profit organization because in a brand-new
association, one needs to do every thing from scratch, volunteer
with no pay, and moreover, you need to contribute to the beginning
costs of the activities and administration.
Why? The answer is very simple - helping people let me feel
the true joy.
As the Chinese idiom goes, "It doesn't matter what continent you're on, the Chinese will always be brothers and sisters to each other." Unity is a strength, and this association utilities everyone’s wisdom and the ability based on members’ interest to adjust conference subject and the style. We discuss things such as from everyday life, working, family, friends, and community responses to current events and national affairs. Our mission consists of:
Internal bridge: Participating and cooperating with other Chinese Canadian organizations, helping people and providing valuable information to build a better community.
Exterior bridge: Helping Chinese Canadian understand the mainstream culture and providing our input to government in issues like multiculturalism and human rights.
The humanity will progress because of dreams, we should all contribute to improve society. Since September 27, 2009, ACCFA has held two economic downturn seminars, and in corporation with McBride Career Group, we provide referral for qualified unemployment people - if the applicant’s qualifications conform to the requirement, he/she will be able to obtain government's salary assistance to participate in a “Training on the Job” program. In 2009, we have held multicultural cuisines dinners on the second and fourth Saturday, offered family walks in the Fish Creek Park and hosted a Christmas celebration party on December 12. Activities and programs will be richer this year, and we welcome everybody’s participation.
I remain positive and continue to contribute for Chinese Canadians and the next generation, which will gain more respect in Canada and lead a better life.

有人問我為什麼要成立”不牟利組織”,尤其是一個全新的團體,更需要親力親為去身體力行, 做得又是義工,
沒人會支付你薪水,甚至還要自己捐獻活動及行政上的支出.
為什麼?
其實答案很簡單 – “幫助人讓我感到真正的快樂”.
為了實現我們的宗旨及稟承中國人的一句至理名言 – “四海之内皆兄弟”, 團結即是力量, 三個臭皮匠敵過一個諸葛亮, 本協會群聚大家的智慧及才能, 依據會員的需求調整會議的主題及方式,從多元的生活文化, 工作, 親子, 交友,社區到時事及國事, 包羅萬象, 精采有趣. 除此以外我們的使命分成兩部份: 內部橋樑: 參與及合作其他加拿大華人社團, 幫助並提供有用資訊及課程,建立和協,快樂和積極”共同體”. 外部橋樑: 建立平等互助觀念幫助加拿大華人與主流文化結合,提供我們的需求給有關政府機構. 我們的價值觀是相信通過聯誼,溝通,輔導及”和諧社會”理念,互相扶持及幫忙,結合我們的力量,使所有加拿大華人都有 - 更好的明天.
人類因為有理想而進步, 我們應該貢獻自己的一點力量來使社會變的更好, 本會自2009 年九月二十七日成立以來,在短短的一個半月,舉辦了兩場經濟不景氣討論會,也跟McBride Career Group Inc. 合作實際幫助目前失業的人- 如果申請人資格符合要求,將會得到政府的薪資輔助並且參加一個叫 Training on the Job 的program. 申請人將可一邊工作,一邊學習. 而且是有薪水可領的.
自2009 年以來, 我們還舉辦老饕美食組: 每個月的第二個及第四個星期六 , 品嚐各國特色餐廳,另外也有公園健步活動,也在 十二月十二日舉行聖誕慶祝會. 今年活動安排更為豐富, 歡迎大家的參與.
我將會保持樂觀的心,繼續為加拿大華人貢獻我的一點點才能,使我們的子孫能夠在加拿大得到更多的尊重及更好的環境.
